Humulus Kalecumber

Humulus Kalecumber is a defender of plants. His mighty biceps and triceps are made from cucumber. He is armored with kale. Humulus Kalecumber features a traditional berliner weisse grain bill and souring regime, but that is where the similarity to that classic style ends. A mixture of juice from kale, cucumber, and mint is added to the whirlpool and the beer is fermented with brettanomyces. The result is a complex but highly drinkable salad sipper, just in time for summer. The plant flavors blend with the acidity and fruit characteristics from the brettanomyces to create a profile reminiscent of watermelon.
